On the bleak rainy afternoon of October 22nd, 75 of us gathered at the Westboro Masonic Hall for the Big Sing! 2023 with Evemarie Brunelle of Montreal. It was the third Ottawa Big Sing! (and the first since COVID) sponsored by Gil’s Hootenanny and Spirit of Rasputins. In just a few minutes, Evemarie was working her magic and had us singing gorgeous songs in three and four part harmony. Transported into a space of joy and connection, we left our worries behind as our voices and spirits soared together. We went home with a song in our hearts and hope for the world.
